Our Story

After a challenging period of uncertainty due to the global pandemic, we are thrilled to announce that Operation Redshirt is preparing to resume our impactful charity events in September 2023.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our beneficiaries, volunteers, and supporters have remained our top priority. We have closely followed the guidance and regulations implemented by the authorities to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved. As the situation gradually improves and restrictions are lifted, we are now actively planning for our upcoming charitable initiatives.

The year 2023 holds immense promise as we strive to bring hope and joy to Singapore’s elderly. Our dedicated team is already working diligently to make the necessary arrangements for the creation of our cherished goodie bags and the distribution of “Ang Paos” to those in need.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our sponsors, donors, and volunteers who have stood by us throughout these challenging times. Your unwavering support has been invaluable, enabling us to continue our mission of making a positive impact in the lives of our elderly community members.

In the spirit of transparency, we assure you that 100% of the funds sponsored will be utilized directly for the creation of goodie bags and Ang Paos. We take great pride in the fact that any associated expenses are willingly absorbed by our dedicated volunteers, ensuring that every dollar contributed goes towards bringing smiles to the faces of those who need it most.

We invite you to mark your calendars for the resumption of our charity events in September 2023. Together, we can create a memorable and meaningful festive season for over 1600 elderly individuals in more than 11 locations across Singapore.

Over the years, our dedicated volunteers have worked tirelessly to assemble Chinese New Year goodie bags and distribute them along with “Ang Paos” to the elderly in need. While these efforts have brought immense joy and hope to the community, we have observed that numerous other charitable organizations also provide similar assistance during the Chinese New Year period. Recognizing the abundance of support available during this time, we believe that we can serve our beneficiaries more effectively by moving our events to a different season.

The shift of giving period started in 2018, We held our charity events in May, ensuring that our efforts stand out and reach those who might otherwise be overlooked. By shifting to a different time of the year, we aim to maximize our impact and enhance the overall support available to our elderly community members. This decision allows us to extend our reach and collaborate with other organizations, forging stronger partnerships to address the diverse needs of our beneficiaries.

We want to assure you that our commitment to our cause remains unwavering. We will continue to allocate 100% of the sponsored funds towards creating these essential care packages. Every contribution will go directly towards the purchase of vital items that bring comfort, nourishment, and happiness to the lives of our elderly beneficiaries.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors, donors, and volunteers for their continued support and understanding during this transition. Together, we can bring about positive change and make a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Thank you for being an integral part of our journey to bring hope, joy, and a sense of belonging to Singapore’s elderly community.
